About Me

Michelle Bergamo

I am New Jersey-based writer who enjoys writing contemporary human comedies with complex female protagonists.

I'd say I'm known for: authenticity, anxiety themes, Jersey vibes, feminist ideals, women's stories, witty dialogue, risqué sense of humor, Italian-American voice, and having the ability to tickle the funny bone while also pulling the heartstrings.

I've spent most of my life living with anxiety disorder and it’s a subject that’s explored in many of my stories.

After graduating from Rutgers University, I spent 12 years working at the prestigious George Street Playhouse before leaving to pursue a writing career.

In addition to screenwriting and playwriting, I work part-time at Designer Greetings in Edison, NJ where I have written over 3000 greeting cards.
